Comment on Lolo 10(j) Wolf Reduction Proposal

“The Idaho Department of Fish and Game is seeking public comments on a proposal to reduce the wolf population in part of the Clearwater drainage.

The proposal calls for reducing the population of wolves in two big game management units that make up the Lolo elk management zone to address unacceptable impacts of wolf predation.

Once public comments have been reviewed, the proposal will be submitted to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for approval.”

Kristy Lee Cook (a contestant on American Idol) Fires Back At PETA

Friday, August 13th, 2010

Kristy Lee Cook is the host of ‘Goin Country’  which airs on the Versus network. Recently she went on some hunting adventures with her friends and family on the show and this got PETA in an uproar.

PETA slammed Kristy on their blog stating that, “It sounds like she must have had those tired old defenses of hunting hammered into her as a kid, because she isn’t embarrassed to float the incredibly old saw that hunters somehow help animals…”

Rather than cowering down like some celebrities do when an animal rights group attacks them Kristy being the strong, cool headed sportsmen she is let PETA have it by saying this, “I join the ranks of millions of American hunters who celebrate our heritage and who conserve millions of acres of wild lands,” Cook said.  “These same people support more than 600,000 jobs across the country and provide a critical voice to encourage more investment in American conservation.”

We applaud you Kristy for standing up in what you believe in and not backing down.
