With all of these organizations gaining a foot hold in the media and in Washington, it behooves me why more organizations aren't combining efforts to deflate this situation. There are dozens of organizations that are under constant attack by HSUS and PETA, but they don't stand together. Look at what just happened to farmers in Ohio. Look at what's happening to farmers and dog breeders in Missouri. When are we going to coordinate our efforts and attack these groups where it hurts……….their pocket books. They take in millions of dollars each year, because the American people are misinformed! When HSUS attacked farmers in Ohio, why weren't all of us standing behind them? It seems to me that its in all of our best interests to stand together and fight.
I would love to see a list of organizations that stand up against PETA, HSUS, and the like. Here are a couple that I'm familiar with.
USARK – the United States Association of Reptile Keepers
PIJAC – the Pet Industry Joint Advisory Council
NAIA – the National Animal Interest Alliance
NRA – the National Rifleman's Association
SCI – Safari Club International
HUMANEWATCH.org
The list goes on. Why aren't these groups and their members funding campaigns against these organizations. Why aren't they shedding a light on the activities of these groups. I think a Superbowl commercial showing how many animals PETA euthanizes each year would be quite effective. A commercial showing how little HSUS actually gives to hands on shelters and how much they spend on salaries and marketing would be great.
Animal rights groups stick together to achieve their goals……….why aren't we?
